2026 Kids Purgatoire Fish, Films & River Play Day
About this Event
Join us Thursday June 18th for the 2026 Kids Purgatoire Fish, Films & River Play Day where we will be learning about local fish biology, aquatic insects, watching educational fish films, and heading to the river to release young rainbow trout into their new home while getting to enjoy some water play time in the river! Plus free pizza lunch in between!
This is a free event! Wear your river play clothes and prepare to get wet!
Meet: 10 AM at Tri Peak Theaters, 3600 E Main St
We'll kick off the day with films about fish and fishing. All attendees get free kids snack pack with drink and popcorn.
Approx 11:30 AM: We'll head down to the Purgatoire River for more fish education, fish stocking, pizza lunch, and river play! You can park your cars in the dirt parking area behind the Toyota dealership, along the Trinidad Riverwalk (near the basketball court at Los Ninos Fields).
The Trinidad Fire Department Water Rescue Crew will be on hand and kids will go home with fish stickers and fish educational materials too. See you there!
