Did you know, our SPCA sees more than 13 000 homeless animals through our doors each year. Some abandoned, some unwanted, some living on the streets and collected, some abused, hungry, cold, frightened. This year, during our 130th anniversary year, we want you to brave our kennels for the night again!Who is up for the challenge of leaving your nice comfy bed and roughing it for the plight of homeless animals? We need your support to continue giving homeless animals a safe and warm place while they wait for their second chance at life.
Join us on 15 August 2026
Cost R130 per human and R30 per dog PLUS ask your friends and family to sponsor your ‘adoption’ out of the kennels for the goal you set (Minimum R5000) Includes dinner, fun games & a goodie bag.
Guests are welcome to visit you between 4 – 6pm.

Your goal is to raise R5000+, all participants MUST create a profile on our SPCA website by sending their photo, goal and write up to [email protected]
Kennels Sleepover: What to expect
Once you've signed up - you'll receive an email to submit your photo and a little write up of why you are participating, this information will get loaded to the SPCA website and will be open for your sponsors to start donating a week or two prior to the actual sleep over. You will receive communication with the donate link & info to share. Once the webpage is live you can start sharing your information and encourage people to donate towards your adoption, the minimum set goal amount this year is R5000.
On the actual day you'll arrive between 3-4pm to be 'checked in' - your kennel will be pre-allocated with your name, please bring everything you will need with you - bedding, snacks, liquids, pillows, battery operated lights, cellphones, headphones etc.
We would also love you to decorate your kennel and really make it your own.
Visitors can visit you from 4pm until 6pm. During visiting hours we play some fun games.
Around 6:30/7pm you will receive dinner and we all sit together for this. After dinner you'll return to your kennels for the night.
