2026 Intro to Beekeeping Short Course

Welcome to the Intro to Beekeeping Short Course! 🐝

Cost: $90 for an Individual, $45 for an additional family member. This price includes a one-year membership to the Apalachee Beekeepers Association.

If you’ve ever been curious about the sweet and fascinating world of beekeeping, this short course is for you! Join us for a fun, informative, and hands-on experience led by knowledgeable and experienced beekeepers.

Participants will rotate through small-group, hands-on sessions that include:

• Bee Biology & Nutrition
• Beekeeping Equipment
• What to Expect: Your First Year of Beekeeping
• Open Hive Demonstrations & Hive Inspection
• Queens: Evaluation, Marking, and Requeening

Beekeeping vendors will be on site selling hive equipment and bees.

Morning coffee, snacks, and lunch are included with all tickets. Group session assignments will be provided at check-in on the day of the course.
