Add a Bird Banding Session for $6! Secure your spot for an exclusive, behind-the-scenes experience with bird researchers! Bird banding is a technique used to study wild birds by placing a small, uniquely numbered band around a bird’s leg. Learn how birds are safely captured and banded, and why this work is important for conservation. The banding station will capture hummingbirds along with other bird species, giving you a rare chance to see these tiny creatures up close!
Please note: Be on time! Bird banding is offered in 25-minute sessions, with limited group sizes to ensure a close-up, personal experience. Hummingbirds—like most birds—are most active in the early morning, so sign up for one of the earliest sessions for your best chance to see a ruby-throated hummingbird!
General Admission Tickets (Bird banding requires a separate ticket at an additional cost):
- Adult (ages 13+): $12
- Child (ages 5-12): $9
- Young Children (ages 0-4): FREE
