Just Confirmed 2026 EVENT
The Hancock County Solid Waste Management District, will be hosting a Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) / Paint & Electronics collection event at the HANCOCK COUNTY FAIRGROUNDS, located at 1720 E. Sandusky St., Findlay.
This HHW-Paint & Electronics event is for a LIMITED time and free for Hancock County Residents (proof of residency required).
At this time we expect this to be the only event for 2026
**BE SURE TO ADD THIS ONE-TIME EVENT TO YOUR CALENDAR - plan accordingly**
FRIDAY JUNE 26 - 11 am - 2 pm
ONLY HHW-Paint & Electronics
This event was partially funded by the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency - Recycle Ohio Grant Program. Co-sponsored by the Hancock County Solid Waste Management District in cooperation with ERG Environmental, the Hancock County Fairgrounds.
Household Hazardous Waste / Paint & Electronic materials will not be accepted from businesses, companies or contractors.
***REMINDER***
Latex Paint can be dried out using "floor-dry", "kitty-litter" or other hardener that will make the liquid form into a solid (available at retail store with paint supplies) ....once a solid - latex paint is no longer considered hazardous and can be disposed of at a landfill or with your regular trash (lid off).
HHW & Paint Event approved accepted items include Latex, Oil-base, Stains, Thinners, Aerosols, Mercury, Propane Cylinders, Cleaners, Fertilizers, Pesticides, Acids, Oxidizers, Lead-Acid Batteries, Antifreeze, Motor Oil, and Fuels.
Electronics Accepted - various non-working electronics including stereos, laptops, computers and accessories, gaming systems, security cameras, sound bars etc. NO APPLIANCES.
