The will be held on Friday October 23, 2026, with in-person and virtual presentations and attendees, at The George Washington University's Arlington Education Center. A social hour will follow the event.
Keynote address by Wendy Queen, Chief Transformation Officer, Johns Hopkins University Press, "Integrity in Innovation and Transformation."
The GW Ethics in Publishing Conference enages students, professionals, and researchers to demonstrate ethical leadership and restore public trust in publishing and scholarly communications. This year's conference promotes proactive action and the implementation of creative and systemic solutions to promote integrity in the profession and practice of publishing.

New legislation has brought accessibility to the forefront of scholarly publishing, including the European Accessibility Act and forthcoming updates to ADA Title II regulations. For many publishers, this means shifting from approaching accessibility improvements as long-term goals to approaching them as core publishing criteria. Join us for a discussion with Damita Snow, Director of Accessibility & DEI Publications & Strategy, ASCE; Michelle Phiel, GWU MPS in Publishing Adjunct Professor, 508 Institute Instructor; and William Horne, Product Designer & Accessibility Lead, Scholastica, in a conversation and Q&A moderated by Danielle Padula Tillmann, Scholastica, and John W. Warren, The George Washington University.

The GW Ethics in Publishing conference is organized by the Graduate Program in Publishing, in collaboration with the GW Journal of Ethics in Publishing, and supported by the College of Professional Studies at The George Washington University.
