Something extraordinary is about to happen in Jackson, Wyoming — and YOU are invited to be part of it.

The Grand Butterfly Gathering is back, and this year we're going BIGGER, BOLDER, and more beautiful than ever. Presented by The Trueness Project and co-hosted with the World Happiness Foundation, this is the joyful, wing-wearing, world-changing event you didn't know your soul was waiting for.

Every year on the last Saturday of June, thousands of people across the globe dress as butterflies, gather in their communities, and send a collective prayer for peace rippling across the planet. This is that day. This is your moment. This is history in the making — and it happens right here at Davey Jackson Field in front of Jackson Elementary School (155 N Jean Street) in the heart of Jackson, Wyoming.

What to Expect

9:30 AM — Wings UP! Arrive early and we'll dress you for the occasion! butterfly outfits are given out starting at 9:30 am for those who register. Don't worry if you've never worn wings before — we'll get you ready to fly.

While You Wait — The Party Starts Now! This isn't a standing-around event. From the moment you arrive, it's a full-on celebration:

• Bubble machines because we all like to flutter with bubbles 🫧
• Face painting for kids (and let's be honest, adults too)
• Arts & crafts stations
• A DJ spinning beats to keep those wings moving
• A DANCE COMPETITION — show us what butterflies do on the dance floor!

11:15 AM — The Official Butterfly Count! This is the moment. The world record attempt begins. We need every single butterfly in place, wings spread, spirits high, as we go for the record for the largest gathering of virtual people dressed as butterflies. The event has grown each year. Can Jackson, Wyoming make history again? That's entirely up to you.

The Main Celebration Prayers for peace. Stories of transformation. Community. Joy. The Grand Butterfly Gathering is equal parts spectacle and soul — a reminder that peace isn't just something we wish for, it's something we BUILD together, one flutter at a time.

Snacks and water will be available to keep your energy up throughout the event.

12:30 PM — The March The grand finale. Every butterfly — human and canine alike — takes to the streets as we march together into the town of Jackson. Imagine the sight. Imagine being part of it.

Why This Matters

The butterfly is nature's greatest symbol of transformation. When we wear the wings, we are declaring to the world that change is possible — that we can go from one version of ourselves to something more beautiful, more free, more alive. The Butterfly Peace Movement is active in over 100 countries. The World Happiness Foundation brings global infrastructure and purpose. Together, we are not just having an event.
