About this Event
Join us for the 2026 Georgia Suicide Prevention Conference: Serving Those Who Serve Others, a two-day event dedicated to strengthening suicide prevention efforts and expanding access to mental health support across Georgia.
This conference brings together community partners, behavioral health professionals, mental health advocates, providers, organizations, service members, veterans, and their families to learn, collaborate, and share evidence-based strategies that promote mental health and well-being.
- Day 1 focuses on the general public, bringing together community partners, behavioral health professionals, providers, advocates, educators, first responders, and organizations committed to advancing suicide prevention through education, collaboration, and community engagement.
- Day 2 is dedicated to Service Members, Veterans, and Their Families (SMVF), highlighting the unique strengths, challenges, and experiences of military-connected communities while exploring strategies, resources, and partnerships that support suicide prevention and mental wellness.
Throughout the conference, attendees will have the opportunity to hear from expert speakers, participate in engaging breakout sessions and evidence-informed trainings, discover resources available across Georgia, earn training certifications, and connect with professionals and organizations committed to making a lasting impact.
This conference is made possible through the Staff Sergeant Parker Gordon Fox Suicide Prevention Grant Program, funded by Congress, in partnership with the Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD), the Georgia Department of Veterans Service (GDVS), and the AMES Research Center at Kennesaw State University.
