The Geelong Chess Club is proud to present the 2026 Geelong Open, returning for its second year after a successful inaugural event in 2025.
This ACF and FIDE rated weekend tournament is open to players of all levels and offers a competitive yet friendly atmosphere in the heart of Geelong.
Whether you're aiming for rating points, prize money, or simply a great weekend of chess, the Geelong Open is an event you won’t want to miss.

Additional Information
• Accelerated pairings may be used if entries exceed 40 players
• One half-point bye available in rounds 1–3 (must be requested in advance)
• Forfeiture time: 30 minutes
• All foreign players must have a FIDE ID number
