Royal River Conservation Trust's 14th Annual Pisgah Hill Preserve Full Moon Trek is free, welcoming to all, and kid-friendly. Join us to howl at the moon as we celebrate our land conservation successes in the watershed, from the Royal’s headwaters to Casco Bay.
It only takes half an hour to hike 0.6 miles to the summit. So show up any time after 4:00 pm and before 7:00 pm! At the fork in the trail, most people turn right, but both will lead you to the summit! The trail is likely to be well-packed to allowing hiking in boots, or strap on some snow shoes or ice grippers for extra traction. We’ll provide campfires, s’mores and light the trail with snow cairns and lanterns.
Expect some minor elevation gain and some ledges that may be icy or rocky. While we provide some trailside lighting, be prepared for darkness. Flashlights or headlamps are recommended. The entire loop trail (return trip) is 1.2 miles.
Dogs are welcome if leashed, with strict attention to pet waste removal.
