Kick off the 160th Scottish Highland Gathering & Games, with an unforgettable evening of pipes, drums, Scottish music, Highland dance , and... a surprise military band!
The Caledonian Club of San Francisco's Friday Night Concert returns to the San Ramon Marriott as the official opening celebration of the 160th Scottish Highland Gathering & Games.
Following last year's sell-out and overwhelming demand again this year, we've expanded the Ballroom from 300 to 450 guests, releasing additional tickets for the evening.
This year's concert brings together an exceptional lineup of Scottish and Celtic performers:
Los Angeles Scots Pipe Band
Fresh from the World Pipe Band Championships in Glasgow, one of North America's premier pipe bands comes to San Ramon before taking centre stage throughout the Games weekend.
Women of WUSPBA
Led by Liz Tubbs, this special all-women ensemble brings together pipers and drummers from Western United States Pipe Band Association member bands for a unique performance celebrating the strength and talent of women in the piping and drumming community.
The Ploughboys
Longtime favourites of the Scottish Games, The Ploughboys return with their lively Celtic sound, bringing traditional music, energy and plenty of character to the Friday Night Concert stage.
Peter Daldry
Scottish singer Peter Daldry joins the concert lineup with the songs and stories of Scotland, bringing his distinctive voice and connection to Scottish tradition to the stage.
Michael Mullen
Acclaimed fiddler Michael Mullen brings the sound of the Celtic fiddle to the evening, adding another dimension to a programme celebrating the breadth of Scotland's musical traditions.
Highland Dance
The evening will also showcase the precision, athleticism and tradition of Highland Dance, bringing one of Scotland's most recognisable cultural traditions to the concert stage.
