Fort Wayne Metro USBC is proud to present the 2nd Annual "Senior Trios Championships" which take center stage at MVP Lanes in Fort Wayne, Indiana on Saturday & Sunday, October 17th & 18th, 2026 with THREE available shift options for those wishing to participate. ***2026 FORT WAYNE METRO USBC – “SENIOR TRIOS CHAMPIONSHIPS” RULES***
1 – ELIGIBILITY: This is a TRIOS tournament consisting of teams of THREE (3) BOWLERS per team and open to ANY & ALL USBC SANCTIONED BOWLERS OVER THE AGE OF 50 (MUST REACH AGE 50 PRIOR TO TOURNAMENT DEADLINE). FORT WAYNE METRO USBC LOCAL DUES NOT REQUIRED FOR ENTRY.
2 – FORMAT / DIVISIONS: The Tournament will consist of three games of STANDARD scoring on the same pair of lanes. There will be two divisions in competition. Division 1 will be designated for competitors COMBINED ages of 150 - 180. Division 2 will be designated for competitors of COMBINED ages of 181 & OLDER. MULTIPLE PARTICIPATION IS PERMITTED BUT ENTRANTS MUST CHANGE AT LEAST ONE TEAM MEMBER ON EACH SHIFT.
3 – AVERAGES / HANDICAPPING: The tournament will utilize a “Team Handicap” for the duration of the competition being 80% from the 660 Base Average. Competitors will use their highest USBC sanctioned league average from the 2025-2026 season (MINIMUM 21 GAMES). If a bowler has no “Yearbook” Average, competitors will use their current average as of OCTOBER 15th, 2026 (MINIMUM 12 GAMES). Standard “10 PIN RULE” WILL BE IN EFFECT (USBC RULE 319A), as well as average verification. COMPETITORS AVERAGES ARE SUBJECT TO RERATE BY THE TOURNAMENT DIRECTOR. Failure to use correct average WILL result in disqualification.
4 – ENTRY SUBMISSION / REGISTRATION: Bowlers are responsible for verifying their own average, whether submitted by the bowler, or others. If the submitted average is lower than required and results in a lower classification or more handicap, the bowler's score WILL BE disqualified. If the submitted average is higher than required, prize winnings will be based on the submitted average. Entry fees must accompany physical entry form upon submission. PAYMENTS (CHECK/MONEY ORDER) MADE PAYABLE TO Fort Wayne Metro USBC, P.O. BOX 11645, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46859. The entry fee of $120.00 must be paid at time of entry. Walk-Ins are welcome but only if entered NO LATER than :30 minutes prior to shift start time on a “first come, first serve” basis and only if space permits. Register by contacting Fort Wayne Metro USBC by email at [email protected] or by phone at 260-432-7278. Your first choice will be given unless otherwise notified.
5 – PRIZE FUND: 100% OF THE PRIZE FUND WILL BE RETURNED ON A “1 IN 4” RATIO. Cash prizes will be awarded in each division based on TOTAL HANDICAP SCORES.
6 –GENERAL CONDUCT: Competition will be contested under a "Cosmic Bowling Atmosphere" with low lights, flashing lights, and music.
7 - USBC COMPLIANCE: ALL USBC RULES WILL BE IN EFFECT INCLUDING USBC RULE 303 (Right to refuse entry). Violation of tournament rules or USBC rules will carry the penalty of disqualification of the bowler with no refund.
