2026 Footcandle Academy Awards Viewing Party

Free to current film society members; $10 per person for all guests

Come watch the Academy Awards and help us celebrate a great year of film at our Oscar Party on Sunday, March 15th!
This year's party will be held at the Main Cellar City Club in Downtown Hickory (332 1st Ave SW, Hickory, North Carolina 28602). We will have the screen in the main area to watch the show, with some complementary hors d'oeuvres and beverages (water and tea) as well as a cash bar for any beer, wine, or mixed drinks.

There is no cost for the evening for our current film society members. All current members are admitted for free. Any guests of members can purchase a ticket for $10.00.

We will open the doors at 6:30pm with the Oscar ceremony scheduled to start at 7:00pm. All attendees are welcome to join us anytime from 6:30pm onward through the end of the ceremony late that evening.

We are also asking everyone to take part in this year's "Oscar Contest"! Fill out an online form choosing who you think will win the various Academy Awards during this year's ceremony, and we will be live-updating everyone throughout the evening as to who is getting the most right. The winner with the most correct answers will receive a special prize! OSCAR BALLOT LINK:

Please fill the ballot out before noon on the day of the ceremony (March 15th). If you have have two memberships as a couplue, you are welcome to submit two different ballot forms. If you aren't able to fill out the form online before you arrive at the Oscar party there will be some paper forms you can fill out at the party (although you have to fill it out before the first award is presented!).
