Army Submission Deadline: Saturday - Wednesday, 18 November 2026.
Format: Flames of War V4, 3 Rounds (1-Day)
Tournament Points: Each player creates three lists: Mid-war 77, 88 and 99 points.
List building restrictions: List may be modified in any way between the point levels with
the following exceptions:
Must keep the same formation type/s on all three list (Yes, you can have one formation on
one list and add another formation later but must still use one of the formations on all 3
list).
No more than 2 formations
No Mid-war Monsters. No Operation Husky lists.
Event Theme: Chaos of Battle
After pairings and table assignments, but before stances are chosen, players will randomly
determine the points for their game. One player will roll a die and consult the chart below:
Roll Result Points
1 or 2 77
3 or 4 88
5 or 6 99
Once points are determined, players will select stances and roll for a mission as normal.
Follow the rules of the scenario.
Lucky Cards (or equivalent) can only be used after turn 1 begins (not during set up or game
point determination.
Battle Plans: Players may use each “battle plan” only once. However, because the Chaos
of Battle can always mess with the best of plans, it is possible that fate effects your plan. Roll a
die to see if that is the case:
If you choose Attack, a roll of 4,5 and 6 will change your stance to Maneuver.
If you choose Maneuver, a roll of 1-2 will change your stance to Attack, and
5-6 will change it to Defend.
If you choose Defend, a roll of 1,2 and 3 will change your stance to Maneuver.
Match Ups: Score sheets and random drawing will be used for pairing. For the first round
only, an effort will be made to avoid pairing up two players from the same club/city. After round
one, straight Swiss Pairings will be used. Pairings will be based on wins, then points, and then
strength of schedule. You will not play the same player twice.
Mission Selection: Missions will be determined by using the Extended Battle Plans in the
April 2026 Missions Pack. Both players will secretly pick their Battle Plans, reveal, and roll on
the Battle Plan Matrix.

Rules Interpretations: Current Flames rules will be used. If you have any questions
about the rules, figure it out amongst yourselves. If you ask ask Ed Hall or Chad Unterdonk,
their answer is final whether it is right on not! Chaos!
Tournament Scoring: The event winner will be based on number of wins, then total
Victory Points, then Strength of Schedule.
House Keeping Items:
● Painting Requirements: None but appreciated!
● Sportsmanship: Be nice or leave! If you can get along or cause an issue, Ed Hall or
Chad Unterdonk will make final ruling. Once the judge decides on a solution, if one
agrees and the other does not, it will be a 6-3 win for the agreeable player and the game
ends. If neither player agrees, both players will receive a (1-1) and their game is over.
They may return for the next game and try again, or not.
● Time: Each round will be 2.5 hours. The TO will keep the official clock. We will follow
the same times as the Masters tournament. When they call time, it is over. Lastly, if a
player is suspected to be slow-playing, please inform the TO and he will observe and
make a judgement call. Remember some people are new, so help them out and have
fun! We want to keep these new players to add to our community of players.
● Ringer: If needed, the TO will act as the ringer.
● Lists: Once all the lists have been turned in, Ed Hall or Chad Unterdonk will verify they
are valid list.
● Spearhead Rule: Only missions with the spearhead rule tag will be allowed to have
units spearheading.
● Fair Fight Missions: In missions such as High Ground, where a player wins by holding
an objective on or after a specified turn, the first player to meet this condition with an
uncontested objective wins the game. If both players meet the condition in the same
turn, the player who took the top of the turn counts as achieving the victory condition
first.
