2026 Fishin' For 50K Trout Derby

The Fishin' for $50K Trout Derby is Saturday, May 30, and Sunday, May 31, 2026, from 6 AM to 2 PM daily. Entry is $80 for adults and $30 for participants under age 16. Entries are limited to the first 700 registered anglers.

Discounted derby entry of 50% off is available to participants who reserve at a Big Bear Lake lodging facility or rent a pontoon boat at any participating marinas in Big Bear Lake.

This is a two-day trout derby.

In-person registration takes place from 12 noon to 10 PM on Friday, May 29, 2026, ONLY WHILE SUPPLIES LAST. There is no entry on May 30 - only check-in for pre-registered anglers.

The derby runs from 6 AM to 2 PM on both days (5/30/26 & 5/31/26) of the derby.

Tournament Champion Returns!

For 2026, a new Tournament Champion will be named based on the Largest Fish (by weight) caught regardless of any age or gender category! Bring your A(ngler) game and walk away with $2,500!

Non-Grand Prize Tagged Fish

$500 per tagged trout for the first five non-grand prizes tagged fish brought in.
