Please join us for the 2nd annual First Solar HEROES 5k! We are thrilled to announce that we are continuing to partner with the US Space & Rocket Center to host this memorable event!
All proceeds for this event will be donated to Still Serving Veterans, a local non-profit military support organization. For more information on SSV, please visit https://ssv.org/
This event will include a 5k race(3.1-mi), a 5k ruck, and this year, a 1 mile fun run! The 5k run, 5k ruck, and 1 mile fun run will all begin at 07:30 am.
The course that will be used is a USATF certified road course. Review the course details at certifiedroadraces.com using Course ID AL19035JE or use the following website address:

5k Ruck Divisions: Male ruck will be set to 30 lbs.; Female ruck will be set to 20 lbs. Participants must bring their own ruck with the dry weight(before adding consumables) meeting the weight requirement. Rucks will be weighed before the event begins.

This event is open to everyone!
🔴Registration & Deadlines:
Registration will be open until the morning of the race at 7am. Deadline to guarantee a runners packet is 10/23. After this date, registrants will only receive a runners bib for chip timing - runners packet & t-shirts will be given out while supplies last.

Parking will be in the lot in front of The Davidson Center for Space Exploration.

HEROES @ First Solar, a Military Employee Resource Group (MERG) will provide a safe and inclusive space for the proud community of active military, veterans, and those who support military personnel (family, friends, colleagues). We will build camaraderie with each other through shared experiences, veteran recruitment, community engagement, professional growth, and retention.
