2026 Fat Tuesday Donut and Beer Walk

Who doesn't LOVE Donuts and Beer?!

Channel your inner Homer Simpson, wear some stretchy pants and join us in historic downtown Middletown for our FAT TUESDAY DONUT & BEER WALK!

After checking in at 1050 Central Ave (DMI Lobby, outside Iron Rose Mercantile), you will walk to different shops, eateries and establishments to get unique donuts, lovingly prepared from our very own Central Pastry Shop, part of the Butler County Donut Trail!

Each "Donut Stop" will have a specially selected beer pairing available for purchase (not included in ticket price, sold separately at each location). Donut in one hand......paired beer in another.......does it get any better?! The Downtown Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area (DORA) will be in effect, allowing you to sip and stroll between stops! Even better news?

As an added bonus, there will be a "Donut Scavenger Hunt". Find the hidden "donuts" in Downtown businesses and redeem your passport back to the DMI Lobby before you leave to be entered to win a FAT Tuesday Raffle basket.

This event serves as a DMI & DORA distrtict fundraiser to benefit our local DORA businesses! So by supporting this event you are supporting local!

How it Works:
Check-In will begin at 6 p.m. at 1050 Central Ave (DMI Lobby, outside Iron Rose Mercantile) in Downtown Middletown. It is here that you will trade your ticket for your donut tasting map (and of course Mardi Gras beads!).

Donut tastings (and beer pairings) will be located inside various local businesses & buildings throughout downtown Middletown. Beer pairings will be paid directly at the stop ($3 each) or full glasses will be available for purchase as well.

There is a bit of walking involved, so make sure you wear comfortable shoes, but have no fear- this is a donut & beer event, not a fitness event!

The hours of the event are 6 p.m. to 9 p.m and you may check-in at anytime during this time.

Tickets: Tickets are $25 and include all locally made donuts, a tasting map/passport, & mardi gras beads. Also a raffle ticket if you complete your passport!

Is there a minimum age requirements for the event?
This event is a donut and beer pairing event- and since it is Mardi Gras, it will be adult focused.

What is the refund policy?

There are no refunds for this event! This event is a fundraiser that DMI and the DORA district relies on to continue our revitalization efforts in the Downtown. Due to the need to order the exact amount of supplies and donuts needed, we cannot give refunds.

Not into beer?
No problem- just buy a ticket which gets you all of the donut stops- as well as the Mardi Gras beads and raffle ticket if you complete your passport! Please bring valid ID with you.

What are my transportation/parking options?

There are multiple free parking lots in and around downtown Middletown. Event check in is at 1050 Central Ave (DMI Lobby, outside Iron Rose Mercantile). When you complete the walk and scavenger hunt, you will return to the DMI Lobby to exchange your completed passport for your raffle ticket.

Is this event rain, snow, or shine?
Donuts & beer taste delicious in any weather so the walk will go on rain, snow or sun! Not including severe weather.

What beers will be offered?
We have specifically paired donuts with unique, craft beers that you likely don't have the opportunity to taste every day. Watch the facebook event page for more details as the event gets closer!
