About the Southwest Florida Small Farmers Network
The Southwest Florida Small Farmers Network (SWFSFN) is a free, collaborative network led by UF/IFAS Extension agents that connects beginning and experienced farmers with educational resources, farm learning opportunities, and a supportive community focused on science-based agricultural education and sustainable agriculture best management practices. Through farm tours, educational lectures, peer discussions, and networking with agricultural-related agencies, the network helps small-scale farmers address common challenges, share knowledge, and explore new agricultural enterprises across Southwest Florida and beyond.
About the 2026 Fall Southwest Florida Small Farmers Network
This meeting will highlight how partnerships between producers, state agencies, nonprofits, and conservation organizations support productive farms, protect our Natural Resources, and strengthen rural communities.
We will be visiting Hall's Tiger Bay Ranch, a multigenerational cow-calf operation committed to sustainable cattle production and environmental stewardship. Through partnerships with USDA, the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, and other organizations, the Hall family demonstrates how conservation and agriculture can work hand in hand.
