About this Event
The Alaska Yoga Festival announces the 9th Annual Celebration of Breath and Balance, July 10th & 11th of 2026. All are welcome to this ALL DAY, ALL YOU CAN YOGA EVENT hosted at Griffin Park in Downtown, Fairbanks, Alaska. Special Workshops faciliated throughout the day on Friday, July 10th across town. The main event is Saturday, July 11th where you can experience a variety of Yoga offerings EVERY HOUR ON THE HOUR. This event is 100% outside rain or shine.
We at the Alaska Yoga Festival wanted to create a grassroots program that encourages growth, connection and inspiration to our communities across the State. Fairbanks became our home in 2018 with nearly 100 participants. Help us grow an event where all ages and all bodies can unite to celebrate practice.
Yoga Classes are 50 minutes in length, guided on the main stage with a headset microphone. Instructors must have proof of Teachers Insurance and Yoga Certification. Classes are open to any type of yoga practice. If you are interested in hosting a mediation or partner practice you may want to consider a Workshop instead!
Yoga Workshops are 50 minutes in length, including art, health, food and mindful activities to fill your love bucket! There is no limit here. Anything and everything that has to do with our wellbeing is welcome. Instructors can limit the experience to a certain amount of students if necessary. This is typically a smaller class-room like setting. No microphones and seperated from the mainstage.
We are primarily interested in connecting Alaskans with Alaskans. We do accept visitors and visiting Educators.
This form may take up to 30 minutes to complete. Please have a Title and Description of your experience ready prior to starting the process.
We are not able to accept all applications as there are only so many hours in a day. Please spend time executing the best descriptions and titles of your courses so we know what makes you unique and what will speak well to the Alaska Yoga Festival audience. Please note that we receive a plethora of Vinyassa practices. Let us know what makes yours (if applying for Vinyassa) extra special!
Instructors are compensated with a FREE AKYOGAFEST ALL YOU CAN YOGA TICKET & Mandala Logo Shirt. Additonally, you get to invite a PLUS 1 with you - aka a free ticket for a friend into the event. A value of over $150.
Applications close on Friday, April 24th at 8pm, 2026.
You will be notified by April 30th rather you have been accepted or not via email.
If you are interested in teaching more than one form of yoga, please submit additional applications.
