The 2026 Spring Economic Perspective is happening Thursday, March 5th at the Flamingo Resort & Hotel, Santa Rosa.
Economies in Motion

Join us for an insightful discussion on the economic impact of immigrant communities in Sonoma County. This event highlights the role of immigrants in local economic development, and features perspectives from community leaders who engage closely with the immigrant workforce. Hear from our two keynote speakers: Dr. Marlene Orozco, with a data driven analysis on the economic impact of the immigrant workforce and their purchasing power, and Dr. Jerry Nickelsburg presenting an economic outlook for Sonoma County.


The Program will include:
  • A panel discussion on the immigrant community’s local economic contributions.
  • Keynote presentation by Dr. Marlene Orozco, CEO and Founder of Stratified Insights, discussing the economic impact of immigrant workforce and purchasing power.
  • Keynote presentation by Dr. Jerry Nickelsburg, Faculty Director Emeritus and Senior Economist at UCLA Anderson School of Management, presenting the economic outlook for Sonoma County.

Ticket Information:

Tickets are $60 plus Eventbrite fees. Tickets include access to the event at the Flamingo Resort and a continental breakfast. Table reservations are available with the purchase of 10 tickets. Ticket sales end March 4th. Refunds available up to February 25th. Eventbrite fee is nonrefundable.



Scholarship Tickets:

Limited scholarship tickets are available for individuals that find ticket prices too cost prohibitive. This can be students, nonprofit professionals, new entrepreneurs, or low-income community members. To be considered for a scholarship ticket, please click on the following link and fill out the form: Scholarship Ticket Request Form

Scholarship tickets are limited, and submission of this form does not guarantee access to the event.



Seating:

Reserved seating is only available for EDC Foundation Sponsors and table orders (10 tickets). All other seating is open seating. Doors open at 9:00 am.



Parking:

Complimentary parking is available onsite at the Flamingo Resort, overflow parking is available across the street in the CVS parking lot. Parking is noted on the Flamingo Resort map.



Interpreter Headsets:

Live Spanish interpretation is available at the event. Interpretation headsets can be checked out at Check In.
