East Texas Fruit, Nut, and Vegetable Conference Set for February 20, 2026 in Tyler
TYLER, Texas — Gardeners, homeowners, and local food producers are invited to attend the 2026 East Texas Fruit, Nut, and Vegetable Conference on Friday, February 20, 2026. The educational event is hosted by the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service and will provide research based information tailored to East Texas growing conditions.
The conference will be held at St. Louis Baptist Church, located at 4000 Frankston Highway in Tyler. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m., with the program starting at 8:00 a.m. and concluding at 12:15 p.m.
“This conference brings practical information directly from Texas A&M AgriLife Extension specialists to people growing fruits, nuts, and vegetables in our region,” said Greg Grant, Smith County Extension Agent for Horticulture.
Educational sessions will include Summer Success with Southern Peas, Pecan Production for Homeowners and Small Orchards, Growing Grapes Organically, and Specialty and Uncommon Fruits. Presenters include Dr. Greg Grant, Bob Whitney, Michael Cook, and Dr. Tim Hartmann, all with Texas A&M AgriLife Extension.
Registration costs $20 per person online or $30 per person onsite. Credit or debit cards are accepted, and a small convenience fee applies. Participants may register online at:
