East Region AgriLife Conference & Expo Coming to Tyler on January 16
TYLER, Texas – The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service will host the East Region AgriLife Conference and Expo on January 16, 2026, at the Cross Brand Cowboy Church, 11915 FM 2015 in Tyler. This annual educational event provides valuable training and continuing education for professionals in city parks, athletic fields, golf course management, school districts, pest control, landscaping, lawn care, and agricultural production.
Registration opens at 7:15 a.m. The Structural Applicators (SPCS) program begins at 8:00 a.m., followed by the Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) Private, Commercial, and Non Commercial Applicators program at 9:15 a.m. Participants can earn 6 SPCS CEUs or 5 TDA CEUs across a variety of categories, including pest management, laws and regulations, safety, weeds, turfgrass diseases, and spray drift management.
Online registration is $10, or $20 at the door, with cash, checks, or credit cards accepted. Lunch will be provided. Attendees may register at the Smith County AgriLife Extension website or directly at the event’s JotForm link.
The program features expert presentations from Texas A&M AgriLife Extension specialists, including Janet Hurley, Jacob Wightman, Dr. Mark Matocha, Dr. Greg Grant, and Dr. Vanessa Corriher Olson. Extension agents from 14 East Texas counties will also be present to support attendees throughout the day.
