2026 Early Voices

Now in its eighth year, Early Voices returns with the 2026 Collaborative Exhibition: “Motion”

Created in partnership with Broward Reads, Early Voices is a literacy and visual arts initiative that connects local early learning centers and elementary schools with the Hollywood Art and Culture Center. This beloved program helps students take reading to the next level—by transforming words into imagination-fueled works of art.

Each participating school receives a picture book and up to three canvases. Students are then encouraged to explore the book’s themes through group artmaking, developing both comprehension and creativity along the way. The result? A vibrant, community-wide exhibition that celebrates the voices of our youngest artists.

This year’s theme, “Motion” invites students to think expansively and express big ideas through collaborative visual storytelling.
