JOIN US FOR AN ADOPT-A-HIGHWAY CLEAN-UP ON CESAR CHAVEZ DAY OF SERVICELos Hermanos Familia with the Volunteer Center of Lubbock invites you to participate in the 2026 César Chávez Day of Service on March 298, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
This year, we will do an Adopt-A-Highway Clean-Up and would appreciate your time and effort.
Volunteers, including individuals, families, students, and groups, are invited to join us.
VERY IMPORTANT - We're asking volunteers to park at Matthews Learning Center, 417 N Akron Ave.
Please bring gloves, wear closed shoes, and protective clothes like jeans.
We will have water bottles.
Also, we will have safety vests to borrow and bags.
This is a two-mile stretch and an opportunity to make an impact.

Cesar Chavez was an American labor leader and civil rights activist. He co-founded the National Farm Workers Association, which later merged with the Agricultural Workers Organizing Committee to become the United Farm Workers labor union. He was committed to the environment and was a Veteran who served in the Navy.
