Citizens Memorial Health Care Foundation invites the community to participate in the annual Heroes for Hospice Race presented by SGC Foodservice on Saturday, May 2.
Registration is open for the event, featuring a 5K, 10K and a 1.5-mile Fun Run. The race starts at 8 a.m. and includes a wizard theme this year.
Race Details
Starting and ending in front of the CMH Dermatology Clinic, 1125 N. Butterfield Road in Bolivar, the event will include a scenic loop around Dunnegan Memorial Park. The race will be electronically timed to ensure accuracy.
Medals will be awarded to the overall male and female winners, first-place finishers in each age division and special recognition to the oldest and youngest runners. A spirit award will also be presented for the best theme-dressed runner. Participants are encouraged to dress as their favorite wizard characters.

> Registration ranges from $25 to $40 per person and includes a T-shirt.
> Online registration closes on April 24, 2026.
> On-site registration is available until 7:30 a.m. on race day.
All ages and levels of physical activity are encouraged to attend. Walkers, strollers and pets are welcome. For those unable to attend on race day, a virtual participation option is available for $25. Participants can run/walk at any location and time, receiving a T-shirt to show their support.
About CMH Hospice
CMH Hospice caregivers strive to help patients remain as comfortable as possible at home, or in a homelike setting, with family and friends. The program also provides support to the family after the death of their loved one through a bereavement program.
Proceeds from the race ensure that all terminally ill patients and their families receive physical, emotional, spiritual and bereavement care.
