Join the City of Prichard’s Office of Civic and Cultural Affairs for the Annual City of Prichard Juneteenth Celebration, a two-day Freedom Day celebration honoring culture, community, unity, and the continued celebration of freedom.❤️💚🖤 FRIDAY:
The celebration begins on Friday, June 19, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Chickasabogue Park, located at 760 Aldock Road in Eight Mile. Families are invited to come out and enjoy a day filled with community fun, including a water balloon war, basketball exhibition, kickball games, yard games, food trucks, and more.
❤️💚🖤 SATURDAY:
The celebration continues on Saturday, June 20, 2026, with the Freedom Day Parade from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. The parade will begin at the Prichard Community Center, located at 2599 West Main Street, and travel from West Main Street to Wilson Avenue.
We are calling on the community to participate and celebrate with us. Horse clubs, ATV clubs, bike clubs, car clubs, youth dance teams, trail ride steppers, families, organizations, and community groups are all encouraged to be part of this special celebration.
