All Scouts are invited to a fun filled camping experience at our Fall Camperall that includes Camping, Fishing, Conservation, and more!
The adventure begins on Friday night for all Scouts BSA, Venturers, Webelos, AOL and Cub Scouts (yes, even Lions). This camping extravaganza will focus on many advancements;
Scouts BSA can work their Fishing, Camping and Cooking Merit Badges, potentially earn conservation, service, leadership hours and also work on their rank advancements.
All Cub Scouts can earn rank requirements and electives on Saturday with stations for Slingshot, Technology, Safety, Champions for Nature and Math.
Scouts of all ages can participate in the fishing derby Saturday morning.
And don't miss the 3rd annual Motley Chew on Saturday night! Motley Chew is an event that anybody with an empty stomach looks forward to. Food is prepared by units, Troops and Packs, who are more than welcome to bring or make their own dishes to serve everyone at dinner, and compete in our cooking contest. There are different categories from which units can enter their various dishes (no unit can enter more than one dish in the same category). The cooking contest categories are:
· Appetizer
· Side Dish
· Main Dish
· Dessert
Feel free to have a theme too! We love creativity! Each entry is judged by our daring volunteer judges and will base their score on a number of factors including presentation (e.g. name and appearance), and taste. We ask each judge only for an overall score for each entry based on their satisfaction. Awards will be given out for the entry with the highest overall score.
We will have separate camping locations for both Cub Scouts (K-5th grade) and Scouts (11-17 year olds).
Scoutmasters; be prepared to hand out information about your troop (meeting times, locations, special events your troop does and contact information).
Cubmasters, AOL Den Leaders and AOL parents; be prepared to collect information from local Scoutmasters, ready to accept your crossovers in 2026!
Cub Scout leaders; Camping night, fishing and conservation hours will be notated per Cub Scout on their event badge, to give to their leader after the event, if that Cub Scout participated in any of these 3 events listed.
Per Guide to Safe Scouting; Parents of Kindergarten (Lions) and 1st grade (Tigers) Cub Scouts are required to be present at all times during this event with their Cub Scout.
Packs and Troops are responsible for breakfast Saturday morning with their units.
District is providing Cracker Barrel Friday night, lunch on Saturday and Grab and Go breakfast on Sunday.
Make sure you bring your mess kits!!!
