2026 Build Momentum & Grow Lunch & Learn Workshop Series

Join us for an inspiring Lunch & Learn featuring Taryn Grows, a Project Momentum graduate, economic development professional, and Co-Founder of Uncle Charlie’s Firehouse & Brew in Historic Folsom. Over the past 10 years, Taryn has worked alongside her veteran father to build a first-responder-themed brewery rooted in service, community, and legacy. In this session, she will share candid lessons from building a business from the ground up, navigating administrative and bureaucratic challenges, and developing the resilience, relationships, and practical knowledge needed to keep moving forward. Attendees will gain insight from Taryn’s entrepreneurial journey, her deep connection to the Folsom and greater Sacramento business community, and her commitment to turning bold ideas into lasting impact.

Taryn Grows is a builder of community, partnerships, and bold ideas. She serves in the economic development sector, supporting business recruitment, retention and growth through Choose Folsom and the Greater Sacramento Economic Council. With a career spanning public relations, communications, project management at entities like Stanford University and the start-up world, Taryn has endeavored her greatest experience yet, building her own business as Co-Founder of Uncle Charlie’s Firehouse & Brew, a first-responder-themed brewery in Historic Folsom, created with her veteran father to honor service, strengthen community, and build a legacy rooted in purpose.
