Branded Bonanza is coming to Lake St. Louis, MO, October 16-18, 2026!
𝗥𝗘𝗚𝗜𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗖𝗘𝗦𝗦: Registration LIVE!
1. Prospective competitors can adopt an eligible horse or burro of their choosing during the approved pick-up window (January 1-June 1, 2026). Animals must be adopted or purchased from an official BLM adoption event, BLM holding facility or Forever Branded Adoption Center.
2. Once you have selected and adopted/purchased your new horse or burro, you will complete the event registration form online (https://foreverbranded.org/branded-bonanza/registration/). Be prepared to upload a copy of your adoption/sale paperwork so that our team can verify it for entry.
𝗣𝗜𝗖𝗞-𝗨𝗣 & 𝗔𝗡𝗜𝗠𝗔𝗟 𝗦𝗘𝗟𝗘𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡: For this event you may adopt any eligible horse or burro from an approved BLM adoption event, BLM holding facility or Forever Branded Adoption Center between January 1-June 1, 2026. If someone other than the competitor is the named adopter of the animal, they will need to be present at pick up to complete the necessary paperwork. You will need to submit adoption paperwork to be eligible to compete.
The competitor or adopter will select the animal they wish to compete with using the eligibility requirements: For all riding divisions, horses must be over 3 years old. For all in-hand horse divisions, horses must be at least 1-year-old. For all burro divisions, burros must at least 1-year-old. Animals may be any color.
𝗗𝗜𝗩𝗜𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦 & 𝗖𝗨𝗟𝗧𝗨𝗥𝗘: Branded Bonanza is geared toward the novice horseman and designed to be a supportive atmosphere where folks can grow their horsemanship and their community along the way. Adult and youth can compete in in-hand and riding divisions, depending on their comfort level.
𝗔𝗪𝗔𝗥𝗗𝗦: Every competitor who returns to compete at the competition will receive $500. In addition, both division awards (cash awards to Top 10, neck ribbons to Top 10, champion buckle, and reserve award), individual class awards (ribbons for Top 10, champion buckle, reserve award), AND specialty awards are offered.
𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗣𝗘𝗧𝗜𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗗𝗔𝗧𝗘𝗦: The competition will take place 10/16/26 and 10/17/26 at the National Equestrian Center in Lake St. Louis, MO. The open show will be 10/18/26. For more info on the open show, check out the event listing: https://www.facebook.com/events/1138174935156025/
𝗖𝗔𝗧𝗔𝗟𝗢𝗚: A digital catalog of available horses and burros will be available ahead of the event. It is solely at the competitor's discretion of whether they would like to offer their animal for reassignment following the competition.
