Join us for an in-person Brunch and networking event in collaboration with the national Black Women in Architecture Network (BWA Network)!

NYCOBA-NOMA is supporting the BWA Network by providing a New York City location to network in person and tune into the virtual Black Women in Architecture Program hosted in DC!

The event will be held from 11:30 AM - 2:30 PM, including the national BWA Brunch live stream from 1:00pm - 2:00 pm EST.

Tickets are $50. Proceeds from the ticket sales will cover event and programming costs.

Our NYC Location: McKissack

We are honored to host this year’s brunch at the NYC offices of McKissack, the oldest black-owned professional construction and design firm in the United States. We’d like to give special thanks to McKissack President & CEO Cheryl McKissack Daniel for her support of our event and congratulate her on her new publication, chronicling her family’s pioneering history and trajectory The Black Family Who Built America The McKissacks, Two Centuries of Daring Pioneers, available here! 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM - NYCOBA Brunch, Introductions and Networking
12:30 pm - 12:35 pm Interactive virtual program with national BWA Network
12:35 pm - 12:45 pm - INTRODUCTION: opening/grounding/setting intentions
12:45 pm - 12:55 pm INTRODUCTION OF SYDNEY GREENE
12:55pm - 1:20pm Sydney Greene directs attendees to live activity (distributed to each location) and begins activity
1:20pm - 1:45pm Sydney begins interactive presentation. Menti will be used.
1:45 pm - 2:00 pm WRAP UP: Share newly licensed designers, scholarship winners, sponsor shout-outs
2:00 pm - 2:05 pm CONCLUSION: Gratitude and closing words
2:05 pm - 3:00 PM - Additional Networking and Closing

Sponsorship Levels:

Event Patron: $500 (2 tickets)

Event Sponsor: $250 (1 ticket)

*Sponsorship includes recognition and promotion of your organization's event sponsorship level plus complimentary tickets as noted per tier. NYCOBA is a 501(c)(6) Organization. If you wish to make your donation directly to the organization, please contact [email protected]. Please also email all attendee names to the Treasurer to guarantee entry if you are a sponsor or making multiple ticket purchases. All proceeds will go towards supporting NYCOBA initiatives and programming. Thank you for your support!

Ticket Sales End Date:

All ticket sales will end Thursday, September 17, 2025 at 11:59 PM to ensure the attendee list is given to McKissack ahead of the event for proper building entry. If you do not purchase your ticket by 9/18, you will not be on the building list and will be denied entry.
