2026 Black Achievers Awards

The Black Achievers Awards celebrate the contributions of inspiring members of South Florida’s Black community. The program was first established in 1992 as the African-American Achievers Awards and was the vision of automotive legend Jim Moran. Over the years, more than 185 individuals have been recognized for positively impacting the world around them, and over $750,000 has been donated to nonprofit organizations on the honorees’ behalf. In addition, four-year, needs-based scholarships to Florida State University have been funded for more than 40 Florida high school seniors who excelled in academics and as stewards of their community.
Through growing partnerships, the annual event has evolved into a program of education, inspiration and relationship-building opportunities, in addition to continuing to honor exceptional individuals every year. The program is proudly sponsored by JM Family Enterprises, Southeast Toyota Distributors and JM Lexus.

Jerome Edmund Gray Youth Achiever
In addition, JM Family honors a Black high school senior with the Jerome Edmund Gray Youth Achiever Award. Given in partnership with Florida State University (FSU), the award provides a four-year, needs-based scholarship to a deserving student who has applied and received admission to FSU.
