Talk by Dr Denver Beanland AM on the Scottish influence in Queensland politics
Dr Beanland is a former Councillor of the City of Brisbane, a former Member of State Parliament, Attorney General, and Leader of the State Liberal Party
He is also recognised as a historian of Queensland of note and has served as President of the Royal Historical Society of Queensland. His PhD was on the former Queensland Premier Thomas McIlwraith (at various times between 1879 and 1883)
