2026 Back-to-School Extravaganza

Celebrate back-to-school with activities, characters, raffles, resources, and limited free haircuts and vision checks.
About this Event

Community Connections for Children (CCC) is excited to partner with The Foundation for Enhancing Communities, United Way of the Capital Region, Dauphin County Systems of Care, Dauphin County Early Intervention, WITF/Pennon, and the Office of Senator Patty Kim to host a Back‑to‑School Extravaganza for families across Dauphin, Cumberland, Perry, and Lebanon counties.

This joyful community celebration will help children and families gear up for the 2026–2027 school year with resources, activities, and plenty of fun. Families will receive a backpack filled with school supplies while quantities last.

Families can explore a lively resource fair featuring hands‑on activities, a KidZone sponsored by WITF/Pennon, and the chance to watch The Spark Travels radio show live. Special character visits—including Tia Flora and a Minion—along with temporary tattoo stations will add to the excitement. Free snack bags will be provided until supplies run out.

A limited number of free haircuts and vision screenings will be offered on a first‑come, first‑served basis.

The event will take place in the Commonwealth Lounge and PA Preferred Banquet Hall of the Farm Show Complex. FREE parking is available in the North parking lot directly across from HACC. Please enter through the Cameron Street Lobby. You may use the lobby stairs or elevators to reach the 2nd floor, then follow the signs to the event.
