Exciting news � The conference committee has been working hard behind the scenes organising the 2026 Australian Dahlia conference.
For 2026 we’ve secured Opal Cove Resort in Coffs Harbour for what we plan to be both an enjoyable experience as well as informative.
The dates are Monday 15th June 2026 til Wednesday 17th June 2026.
The Monday will be kicking off in the afternoon with the Dahlia Society of Australia (DSA) AGM and the society reports.
The main conference will then begin on Tuesday morning with a dinner on Tuesday night. Wednesday morning will continue with conference topics & the much anticipated ‘tuber auction’ taking place on Wednesday afternoon.
A social outing is planned for Thursday 18th.

Buts it’s during the week - I need to use my annual leave.
Let us address that, some of our committee had a similar thought, then they worked out the details. Having a Friday meeting, Saturday/Sunday conference with a Monday trip actually requires you to use more leave & has you exhausted at the beginning of the conference & going back to work. A conference during the week allows you to use the non-work days prior to travel to Coffs Harbour & the days after to travel back leaving you (hopefully) refreshed ready to start a new week.
What about my kids? While we know quite a few have kids, weekend conferences mean you miss any sporting events, social activities. Having a weekday conference allows you to attend these & still attend.
Another advantage is accommodation costs - these are usually cheaper during the week.
Having a conference during the week also allows attendees to explore the areas attractions that only occur on weekends rather than being stuck inside a conference.
We plan for their to be something of interest for everyone regardless of their growing experience or their scope to grow in. The annual conference is a great networking activity & whether you grow 5 dahlias or 5000 dahlias the NSW&ACT dahlia society aim to have something relevant for you.
So we hope to see as many dahlia enthusiasts as possible in June 2026. Mark your calendars & look forward to an enjoyable & informative event.
