About this Event

The Arlington County Fair, in partnership with Livin' the Pie Life, TriVistaUSA, and Team Showalter, is proud to present the 2026 Arlington County Fair Pie Eating Championship! This fun event requires participants to eat one slice of pie with no hands! The first three contestants in each age group to finish everything on their plate are WINNERS!

$15.00 per person to enter (with no added fees!)

New location for 2026! We will hold all eating competitions in the Beer Garden tent on the upper soccer field.

Pre-registering will guarantee you a slice of delicious "triple berry pie" from Livin' the Pie Life, a seat at the pie eating table, and a limited-edition Arlington County Fair Pie Eating Championship t-shirt! Online pre-registration ends on Friday, August 14, 2026 at 8:00pm! Limited "day of" registrations may be available. You can also sign up Friday night at the 5:30pm Free Bingo event, indoors at the Fair's entertainment stage.

Schedule: On Saturday, August 15, check in will start at 11:00am, and you must be checked in by 1:15PM. The event will start promptly at 1:30pm (immediately following the FREE Troy's Italian Kitchen Pizza Challenge, Los Chamacos Mexican Restaurant Burrito Challenge, and TriVista TriFecta Challenge). The youngest age groups will compete first.

Each participant will receive a limited-edition 50th Anniversary Arlington County Fair Pie Eating Championship t-shirt and a chance to win a Livin' the Pie Life gift certificate!

2026 Pie Eating Championship Rules:

  • Contestants will be assigned to one of the following age groups: 2-5, 6-10, 11-15, 16-49, and 50 & up. Age groups are subject to change based on pre-registrations.
  • Each participant is provided one slice of pie and a small cup of water.
  • Water cannot be poured on the pie. This will result in a disqualification.
  • Participants must eat the pie without the use of their hands. Hands can be used to hold the plate down on the table, but cannot touch the pie or lift the plate or they may be disqualified. The pie plate must remain on the table at all times.
  • Everyone must wait until the official start of their round before eating their slice of pie.
  • Participants must finish eating everything on their plate and must raise their hand to alert the judges, and open their empty mouths for the judges before being considered a winner.
  • Winners of each round are the first, second and third competitors to finish eating their slice of pie. The winners will be determined by the judges and the judges' decisions are final.
  • Winners will be instructed to remain near the stage until the awards ceremony which will immediately follow each round.
  • NOTE: Participants age 10 and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to participate.

The 2026 Pie Eating Championship features Livin’ the Pie Life’s famous Triple Berry Pie!

Ingredients include: Blueberries, Raspberries, Blackberries, Sugar, Flour, Unsalted Butter, 100% Transfat-Free All-Vegetable Shortening, Lemon Zest & Juice, Cinnamon & Kosher Salt, and Cream.

WAIVER

I know that eating large amounts of food is potentially hazardous and is an uncomfortable activity. I should not enter and eat unless I am medically capable and properly trained. I realize that this is in good fun and possibly bad taste, but I agree to be a good sport. I agree to abide by any decision of the contest officials and all of the contest rules. I assume all risks associated with eating in this type of event including but not limited to indigestion, that stuffed feeling, contact with other contestants, and a general dislike for pie after I am done, and all such risks being known and appreciated by me.

Contestants will acknowledge there are risks associated with this event, which include, but are not limited to personal injury, risk of illness and possibly death, and risk of loss or damage to personal property. Contestant voluntarily enters this eating contest and in doing so assumes all of these risks. Contestant has read all of the above rules and agrees to follow them. Contestant also hereby swears that to the best of their knowledge they are physically and mentally fit to compete in this contest.

Having read this waiver and knowing these facts and in consideration of you accepting my entry, I, for myself and anyone entitled to act on my behalf, waive and release the Arlington County Fair and all associates, volunteers, sponsors, vendors as well as any of their affiliates and successors from any and all claims of liabilities of any kind arising out of my participation in this event.
