Take the Plunge for a Powerful Cause!
Come take a refreshing plunge into the chilly waters of the Clover School District YMCA outdoor pool and help support more than 2,000 Special Olympics Area 11 athletes. These incredible athletes—representing York, Chester, and Lancaster counties—train and compete in 14 different sports at the local, state, regional, and national levels.
Area 11 Special Olympics athletes with intellectual disabilities are given the opportunity to compete, grow, and shine thanks to generous private and corporate support and the dedication of hundreds of volunteers. All programs and services are provided at no cost to the athletes and their families. This year, your support is especially impactful as Area 11 prepares to send 29 athletes, coaches, and Unified Partners to the 2026 Special Olympics USA Games in Minnesota—and we need YOUR help to get them there!
How to Participate:
- Raise $50 to earn the privilege to plunge and receive a Frozen Fans short-sleeved T-shirt
- Raise $75 to plunge and receive a long-sleeved T-shirt
- Raise $1,000 and earn the ultimate bragging rights—take your plunge from the slide!
100% of all funds raised stay right here in Area 11, directly benefiting our local athletes.
A trophy will be awarded to the school that raises the most money. Anyone associated with a participating school who plans to plunge must be registered on their school’s team page and have raised a minimum of $50.
And of course—those who have Chosen to Be Frozen are encouraged (but not required!) to dress in costume. Fabulous trophies will be awarded for first and second place in the costume contest.
