The Appalachian Health Leadership Forum is a two-day learning and networking opportunity designed for healthcare and public health board members and leaders serving rural Appalachian communities. Whether you serve on the board of a local health department, community health center, critical access hospital, rural hospital, or subsidiary board of a larger health system, this Forum is for you.As communities across Appalachia work to address the social determinants of health and create a culture of health that supports economic prosperity, boards and leadership teams play a critical role. The Forum builds on traditional population health efforts by equipping participants with the tools and knowledge needed to improve the health of entire communities—not just patients.
Day One focuses on community health improvement planning and advancing the vital conditions for health and well-being.
Day Two centers on board governance and leadership best practices, featuring state and national experts who will address governing styles, leadership responsibilities, and strategies for high-performing boards.
Together, the sessions provide practical insights and meaningful dialogue to help leaders strengthen governance, foster collaboration, and support healthier, more resilient Appalachian communities. We hope to see you at Stonewall Resort and Conference Center!
