2026 Anzac Day Commemorative Service & Light Breakfast

The Australian Consulate-General in Chicago invites you to join us for our annual Anzac Day Commemorative Service, honouring the courage, sacrifice, and enduring legacy of Australian and New Zealand service members past and present.

The service will be held at the Chicago Vietnam Veterans Memorial along the Riverwalk, beginning promptly at 7:00am. See details below:

Vietnam Veterans Memorial
Chicago Riverwalk located between State & Wabash

• From 6:30am: Complimentary coffee and restroom access will be available at Chicago Brewhouse located next door to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial along the Riverwalk.
• Reminder to collect your poppy and program from Consulate staff before the service.
• 7:00am sharp: The service will commence.
• 7:30am: Following the ceremony, guests are welcome to lay additional wreaths or pay their respects before joining us across the bridge at Mojo Coffee (AMA Plaza) for flat-whites, Anzac biscuits, and croissants. Consulate staff will be on hand to guide guests.

Parking: Limited parking is available in the area. We recommend allowing extra time to secure parking, or considering public transport or a rideshare service.

Weather: The service will proceed rain or shine. Please dress accordingly and bring an umbrella if rain is forecast. In the event of severe weather, an alternative location will be announced on the day.

This is a free event, however registrations are required.
