Hi skaters 😊
It’s almost that time of year again - get uour scariest/ most fabulous skating costumes ready! This year Halloween falls on a Saturday so will have out skate on actual Halloween night (Sat 31 October 👻)
We will do a Betty’s burger skate - options suitable for all skill levels for anyone who wants to join in 😊
EXPERIENCED SKATERS - 3.00pm - meeting at Brett’s Wharf Portside,(pin drop in discussion below), skating to Howard Smith Wharves for dinner at Betty’s Burgers and back. About 24kms all up by the time we lap the riverwalk.
This route has rough sections, some long gentle downhills, and a few sections of street skating, so is recommended for confident and experienced outdoor skaters only - please allow for any costume related handicaps when considering this option 😉
Parking is available on the street around the streets of Hamilton/ Portside or paid parking under Portside.
GENERAL SKATERS, BEGINNERS, KIDS (Or costume handicapped skaters!) - meet us at the beginning of the New farm riverwalk Merthyr Rd meets the river at New Farm (not the Tenerife end!) at 4pm. We will skate a few laps of the walkway before dinner- this is flat, smooth, and has handrails the whole way along, so if you are just starting out, but still want to come and join the fun - this is a perfect skate to do so.
Parking is available on the street at New Farm in Merthyr Rd/ Oxlade drive - if you are starting from here, comment and let us know so we know who to look out for. (Although, in costume, that should be fairly self explanatory!)
There is also an option to skate from Newstead and catch a city cat back to Tenerife if you only want to skate one direction.
Look forward to seeing you all there for a fun afternoon 😊🛼✨
