America 250 Time Capsule Dedication Ceremony!
Join us as we make history for future generations.
On Saturday, August 1, the community will gather at Town Hall to dedicate and bury Montpelier's America 250 Time Capsule, preserving a snapshot of life in our community during the nation's 250th anniversary year.
The capsule will contain photographs of local businesses, community buildings, and the people who call Montpelier home. Included are memories captured during the Bean Days Ice Cream Social and community Photo Booth, ensuring that future generations will see the faces, places, and spirit of our town in 2026.
The ceremony will include the dedication of a permanent monument marking the capsule's location and recognition of the community partners who helped make this project possible.
Special thanks to Fackler Monument for donating the monument and Thompson Funeral Home for donating the time capsule vault.
As we celebrate America's 250th birthday, we invite everyone to take part in this lasting gift to the future.
Free and open to the public.
