Notice of Annual General Meeting
Notice is hereby given that the Annual General Meeting of Gosnells Women’s Collective Inc. will be held as follows:
Date: Saturday, 1 August
Sign-in: from 10:00am
Commencing: 10:30am sharp
Venue: 27 Birchington Street, Beckenham - please park on the street or in the vacant land adjacent to lessen impact on Toy Library patrons.
Following the meeting: light lunch and refreshments will be provided. If you have specific dietary needs please advise alongside your RSVP.
Election of Committee — Call for Nominations
All committee positions are declared vacant and open for nomination at this AGM, with the exception of one (1) General Member position, currently held by Anita Nilsson, which is not due for re-election this year.
Positions open for nomination include:
• Chairperson
• Vice Chairperson
• Secretary
• Treasurer
• General Member(s)
Please email to request a copy of the job descriptions for each office holder role.
In accordance with the Association’s Rules, nominations must be received by the Secretary no later than Friday, 4 July (28 days before the AGM). Each nomination must be in writing and include a statement from another Member in support of the
nomination - if you do not have a statement, the current Chair will supply one.
Nomination forms can be obtained by contacting [email protected] and should be submitted via email to the same address.
Why Your Nomination Matters
This is not routine. Without enough nominations, GWC will not have a functioning Board — and without a Board, the organisation cannot operate. Programs stop. The Shed closes. Everything we've built comes to a halt.
The current committee cannot carry this alone. If you've ever thought about stepping up, now is the time. If you know someone who'd be great at this, ask them today.
