Introducing the brand-new Battle of Britain Air Show at RAF Woodchurch, Ashford, Kent — 8th–9th August 2026.
This isn't just an airshow. It's a full step back in time. Military vehicles, living history, live 1940s music, immersive displays, and above it all, the aircraft that defined a generation.
✈️ THE FLYING PROGRAMME
The Battle of Britain aircraft are the heart of this show.
The Spitfire and the Hurricane, the aircraft that defended Britain in the summer of 1940, when everything depended on a few hundred men and the machines they flew. They are the reason this island was not invaded. This August, they fly again above a Kent grass airfield.
The Aero Legends C-47 Dakota fleet will be flying, landing and dropping genuine round canopy paratroopers above RAF Woodchurch, the same aircraft that supported the D-Day 82 commemorative parachute operations over Normandy. The same Dakotas, coming home to Kent.
Further aircraft will be announced as the programme is confirmed. Full flying programme published early, you'll know exactly what to expect before you book.
🪖 THE GROUND EXPERIENCE
This isn't just an airshow you watch. It's an afternoon when you step inside.
The 1940s atmosphere begins the moment you arrive. Military vehicles, tanks and WW2 jeeps. Living history reenactment groups across the site. 1940s music and wartime singers performing throughout both days. The sounds, the sights and the atmosphere of wartime Britain, on a summer afternoon in Kent.
Visitors in 1940s period dress are warmly encouraged, and those who commit to the spirit of the day will be offered a dedicated photo opportunity on the flight line, beside a Spitfire.
🚧 THE FLIGHT LINE WALK
At the end of every flying programme, the barriers come down.
Every visitor, on every ticket, walks out airside. Among the aircraft. No rope lines. No distance. The kind of access that usually means a trip to Goodwood. This August, it's included with every ticket at RAF Woodchurch.
🎟️ TICKETS
General Admission — full flying display, ground experience, 1940s entertainment and end-of-show flight line walk. Day or weekend tickets. Family tickets available.
Flight Line Premiere Exclusive fence-line access beside the aircraft as they taxi, the closest views outside the cockpit. Includes premium seating, parking and admission.
VIP Spitfire Enclosure — The Merlin Room — private seating, complimentary lunch, private bar access, and a genuine Spitfire parked inside your enclosure.
Flight Line Military Rides — guided jeep tours of the flight line before and after the flying programme. Bookings are being taken on the day.
Family ticket package — 2 adults and up to 2 children , plus additional children available to add at checkout. Everything included, the full flying display, ground experience, 1940s entertainment and the end-of-show flight line walk. A full day out for the whole family without the price tag.
FREE ENTRY:
✅ Under 5s, Veterans and pre 1950 car owners go free — Please book online so we can manage numbers on the day.
✅ Veterans of any branch of the British or Allied armed forces, free entry, honour system.
✅ Pre-1950s vehicles, free entry and a place in the classic vehicle display.

RAF Woodchurch has parking for up to 150 visiting aircraft. Fly in, tie down, and walk out onto the same grass your aircraft just landed on.
