2026 6 Hour Blast - 20th Anniversary

Muddy Gumboot Events is proud to present the 2026 6 Hour Blast, marking the 20th Anniversary of this iconic Canterbury event.
On Saturday 7th November 2026, riders will once again take over McLeans Island for six hours of racing either solo or as part of a team. For 20 years, the 6 Hour Blast has brought together riders of all ages and abilities, along with workplace teams, for some friendly competition and a great day out. From first-timers to seasoned racers, this event has always been about getting out there and enjoying a great day with friends or work mates. We can't wait to celebrate this special milestone with you in 2026!
What to expect:

Race day also falls on New Zealand's 2026 General Election. With advance voting available and a few hours between the race finish and the close of voting, there's plenty of time to do both.
