SEEKING: Seeking locally based actors for Savannah Rep's 3 mainstage shows of the 26/27 Season. See full character breakdowns below. Performers of all gender identities, ethnic, and racial backgrounds are encouraged to attend. All levels of experience are welcome!
ACTOR CONTRACT: $400 a week *no housing or travel available at this time
WHERE AND WHEN:
Date: August 11th, 2026
Time: 10a - 6p (Lunch Break from 2-3p)
Callbacks: August, 16th 10a–3p (Popcorn), TBD (Doll's House), and September 20th 10a–3p (Constellations)
Location: Front Porch Improv 210 W Victory Dr, Savannah, GA 31405 - There is limited parking out front in the pink marked spots or free street parking on surrounding side streets. Do not park in the dirt lot to the right of the building.
WHAT TO PREPARE:
- 2 contrasting monologues of your choosing not exceeding 3 minutes in total.
- Please bring an 8x10 headshot with an up-to-date resume cut to size and stapled together (back to back).
- The process will be 'first come first serve'. Arrive at a time that is most convenient for you and we will move through everyone as quickly as possible.
- Video Submissions are being accepted.

POPCORN FALLS

SEEKING 2 ACTORS (of any gender/race/ethnicity) to play the entire population of Popcorn Falls. Listed below are some of the characters played by both actors:
*MR. TRUNDLE – A sincere man. People-pleaser. The new mayor of Popcorn Falls. Recently divorced and a recovered alcoholic, determined to pull his life back together.
*JOE – A nervous janitor whose wife is pregnant with their third set of twins.
*BECKY – A very sweet, lost soul. Just moved back to Popcorn Falls. Was once in love with Joe.
*LYDIA – Becky’s young daughter.
*PASTOR PETE – With donations at an all-time low, his church has no money to fix its drooping steeple. Uses a walker to get around.
*MRS. OMKI – With the building of a local Walmart, she now has nowhere to park her Tart Cart. Speaks with a very flat Midwest accent.
*AUSTIN – The not-very-bright-but-eager-to-please sheriff of Popcorn Falls. He would like everyone to think he’s smarter and more important than he actually is. Wants desperately to make his mother proud and become the next chief of police. Could speak with a bit of a southern accent.
*MS. LYDA PARKER – Town librarian. A bit Amanda Wingfield from The Glass Menagerie. A theatrical woman of a certain age. Was once the leading lady of the Anchor Bay Players. Speaks with a Mid-Atlantic accent. Always carrying her cat, Mr. Cuddles.
*FLOYD – Owner of the only lumberyard in town. Lost half his arm in a freak accident involving a telephone pole and a Mexican stripper. He likes to drink...a lot. Was once in love with Mrs. Stepp.
*MRS. STEPP – Hard-boiled, chain-smoking, no-nonsense middle school teacher who is on the prowl. Secretly still has a thing for Floyd. Always looks like she’s holding a cigarette.
*MR. DOYLE – Head of the Cattaraugus County Budget Planning Committee. Determined. A corrupt bully who will stop at nothing to conquer Popcorn Falls and turn it into a sewage treatment plant.
*MISS BROWN – Mr. Doyle’s very unenthusiastic secretary who would rather be doing anything else.
*HANS – Originally from Germany, Hans came to Popcorn Falls as a foreign exchange student and stayed. He now runs the Popcorn Falls Funeral Home and is obsessed with Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers movies. He speaks with a heavy German accent, wears a monocle, and is very excited to be part of the new acting troupe.
*MARGIE – A high school senior who is obsessed with herself and her phone. She speaks with a flat, drawn-out, monotone voice.
*MR. UPMALL – The oldest man in Popcorn Falls. Wants to do something great before he dies. Walks with a cane and a slow shuffle.
SYNOPSIS: The sleepy town of Popcorn Falls is forced into bankruptcy when a neighboring town threatens to turn them into a sewage treatment plant. Their only hope – open a theater! Two actors play over twenty roles in a world of farce, love, and desperation, proving once and for all that art can save the world.
DOLL'S HOUSE PART 2

Seeking the following roles:
NORA: 40/50s (Female Presenting). Rebellious, confident, independent, and a now-successful writer returning home.
TORVALD: 50/60s (Male Presenting). Traditionalist, the abandoned husband, and a pillar of the community.
EMMY: 20s (Female Presenting). Nora and Torvald's daughter. Smart, self-assured, and more traditional than her mother.
ANNE MARIE: 60s+ (Female Presenting). The long-time nanny who raised the children; serves as the voice of reason and comic relief.
SYNOPSIS: Fifteen years after Nora Helmer slammed the door on her stifling domestic life, she is knocking at that same door, having returned with an urgent request for her former husband. Before Nora can get what she needs, she must reckon with the people she left, all of whom have some choice words for the former Mrs. Helmer. Lucas Hnath’s funny, probing and bold new play is at once a continuation of Ibsen’s complex exploration of traditional gender roles while also creating a sharp contemporary take on the struggles inherent in all human relationships.

Seeking the following roles:
MARIANNE: 20-40 (Female Presenting) A brilliant, quick-witted, and fiercely independent theoretical physicist. She is highly articulate but must navigate a deteriorating medical diagnosis (a brain tumor) that sometimes affects her speech and motor skills.
ROLAND: 20-40 (Male Presenting) A straight-laced, easy-going beekeeper. He is grounded, deeply emotional, and often awkward, providing an emotional anchor to Marianne's high-concept intellect.
SYNOPSIS: One relationship. Infinite possibilities. In how many universes would you love someone? Nick Payne’s Olivier award-winning Constellations is a play about free will and friendship; it’s about quantum multiverse theory, love and honey. Roland is a beekeeper. Marianne is a quantum physicist. What are their odds of falling in love? With infinite moments that can change the trajectory of a life, it’s anyone’s guess how cosmic collision is possible. This play moves from the question of “what if,” to a poignant picture of “what is.”
