The Weitzman Department of Fine Arts at the University of Pennsylvania and the Institute of Contemporary Art are pleased to present an artist lecture and presentation with Keith L. and Katherine S. Sachs Visiting Professor Zoe Leonard.

This free public lecture is part of a series that gathers distinguished artists, activists, writers, and disruptors whose work engages with the social and cultural themes of our time.

About the Artist
Zoe Leonard was born in 1961 in New York. Leonard is a visual artist working in photography, sculpture and installation. Her work has been exhibited broadly, including recent solo presentations at The Chinati Foundation, US (2024); Musée d’Art Moderne, Paris, France (2022); Mudam, Luxembourg (2022); Whitney Museum, New York (2018); Museum of Modern Art, New York (2015). Her work is currently on view in the 61st Venice Biennale and was included in the 57th Carnegie International (2018); Documenta IX (1992) and Documenta XII (2007) and in Whitney Biennials in 1993, 1997, and 2014. She was awarded a Guggenheim Fellowship (2020), the Bucksbaum Award of the Whitney Museum of American Art (2014) and an Anonymous Was A Woman Award (2006). She is a founding member of the artist collective fierce pussy which has been active since 1992. Leonard lives and works in New York City.
