Our family-friendly, peer-to-peer fundraising event welcomes wish families, volunteers, donors, corporate partners, and many more valued supporters for a spirited walk around Vasona Park in Los Gatos.
While participation is completely free, we hope you will build a team and fundraise for our brave wish families across the greater Bay Area. If you fundraise, you can win prizes, including a commemorative Walk for Wishes t-shirt.
Walk for Wishes Schedule of Events
8:30–9:45 a.m.: Check-in opens. Breakfast and activities available.
9:45–10 a.m.: Welcome program
10–11 a.m.: Walk around Vasona Park (course is roughly 1.3 miles)
11 a.m.–1 p.m.: Post-Walk Celebration
Post-Walk Celebration
After our Walk, you're invited to join us for a joyous celebration featuring food trucks, family-friendly activities, and the chance to connect with our community of supporters, wish families, volunteers, and more.
$15 additional fee for adults, free for guests age 18 and under (please still register to attend).
Walk Your Way
New this year! To make Walk for Wishes accessible for our far-reaching network of supporters, we invite you to “Walk Your Way” by hosting or attending a mini-walk in your community on August 23! To participate, simply register for the event as you normally would, select “Walk Your Way” as your registration option, and select your location of choice from the drop-down menu. Walk Your Way will be hosted at three Sports Basement locations throughout our territory, or you can pick your own location for your mini-walk.
Walk Your Way participants who raise at least $100 by July 1, 2025, will receive a Walk in a Bag with your t-shirt and other fun items! If you would like to participate in Walk Your Way, please register via the link below and select "Remote Walker." Then, in the "Additional Information" section, select one of the Sports Basement locations or a location of your choice.
