VTS is delighted to welcome New York Times columnist David French, who will speak on "Faith in an Age of President Trump" on Tuesday, October 14 at 10:45 a.m. followed by Q&A.
Following lunch, the Rev. Ruthanna Hooke, Ph.D., VTS Professor of Homiletics, will offer the keynote address at 2:00 p.m. on "Taking, Blessing, Breaking, Giving: Sacramental Preaching in Difficult Times." Her address will be followed by a panel of faculty members who will discuss "Reflections on Preaching the Gospel in these Times."
Additional Convocation highlights include Convocation Evensong, with sermon and the awarding of honorary degrees, followed by a festive reception.
Registration is $40.00 per person for those attending on campus, which includes the keynote address and other sessions, lunch, and the reception following Evensong.
Registration is $10.00 per person for those who are attending online only.
