Come celebrate Baisakhi with Dhol and Bhangra performance by students of UPAA academy.
About this Event

Utah Punjabi Arts Academy is a local folk dance and music academy based in Sandy Utah. Our goal is to preserve, promote and perform the high energy folk dance from North India called "Bhangra", typically danced on a drum called "Dhol".

Bhangra was typically performed during and after the harvest. Baisakhi is a popular harvest festival in Punjab where communities would come together to celebrate Spring harvest.

During the mela, you'll enjoy several dance and music performances by our academy performers wearing colorful traditional costumes and props. Chai (Indian Tea) and snacks will be provided.
