★ WORKSHOPS ★
These hands-on workshops are taught by industry experts and are tailored to create an exciting learning environment for kids to be innovative and further develop their film and content-making skills. Workshops will feature screenwriting, character design, special effects, podcasting, stop motion animation, and more!
★ FREE MOVIES ★
This year’s theme, “Bringing Stories to Life,” celebrates the magic of storytelling on screen. Every film in the lineup is adapted from beloved picture books, chapter books, or comics from around the world—many of which you can find at your local library!

Tumbleweeds Film Festival for Kids is the Mountain West’s longest running international, independent film festival that is centered on stories about young people from around the world. Over its 14 years, the festival and its field trips have reached nearly 33,000 Utahns.
Tumbleweeds Film Festival for Kids is a program of the nonprofit Utah Film Center. Its partnership with the Salt Lake County Library further affirms this dedication by making all festival films free to the public. Learn more at tumbleweedskids.org
