A spooky end to our annual racing calendar, the Superior Nightmare 5K brings us across the bridge to Superior and offers a chance to combine your love of running with Halloween!
In coordination with the city’s annual Superior Spooktacular, this event offers participants a mix of scary surprises and haunted hijinks to go along with a family-friendly costume race!

KIDS' RACES
The shorter Spider Dash races for the younger kids will start following the 5K at 11:45 a.m. and will lead directly into the Superior Spooktacular Halloween parade! Plus, there will be plenty of trick-or-treating options for before and after your run!

COSTUME CONTEST
Make sure you dress your best and enter the costume contest by visiting our photo booth before or after the race. Online voting will be done the week after the race, with fabulous prizes available to the crowd and community favorites!

Net proceeds from the event go to benefit the Young Athletes Foundation (YAF), the nonprofit arm of Grandma's Marathon focused on helping the area's youth develop healthy and active lifestyles. Since its inception in 1990, the YAF has donated more than $1.8 million to youth athletic organizations in a five-county region.
